Lorentzian Polynomials

N. Bozinov — Under the advisement of Prof. Mohamed Omar, York University

Investigating the theory of Lorentzian polynomials — a class of real-rooted polynomials with deep connections to matroid theory, combinatorial optimization, and algebraic geometry. The project focuses on characterizing structural properties and exploring applications in discrete mathematics.

Education

Tutoring

I offer one-on-one tutoring for high school and undergraduate mathematics, grounded in deep subject mastery and a patient, rigorous approach.

Every session is tailored to your level and goals — whether you're building foundations in algebra or working through advanced linear algebra.

Rate

$30–50 CAD / hr

High School Algebra

Equations, inequalities, functions, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, and graphing. Solidifying the algebraic foundation essential for all higher math.

Pre-calculus

Trigonometry, logarithmic and exponential functions, sequences & series, limits, and conic sections. Bridging the gap between algebra and calculus.

Calculus

Single-variable and multivariable calculus, derivatives, integrals, sequences & series, and vector calculus. Supporting students in Calc I–III and AP Calculus.

Statistics & Probability

Descriptive statistics, probability distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, regression. For introductory and intermediate statistics courses.

Linear Algebra

Vector spaces, linear transformations, matrices, eigenvalues & eigenvectors, inner product spaces. Emphasis on building intuition alongside formal understanding.

Pricing depends on subject level and session format. Free 15-minute consultation for new students.
